About Me

My name is Philippe Olivier.

I have a PhD in computer engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, and I specialize in solving problems related to operations research. I am an applied scientist who is always looking for new contract work opportunities.

I love Linux (recent NixOS convert from Arch), Emacs, and hacking around with computers. Some of my other interests include cooking, brewing, construction, and anything mechanical.

My wife Emmanuelle and I have four young children: David, Thomas, Sarah, and Rebecca. You can guess where this domain name comes from ;)
